In getting exposed to Impact entrepreneurship, participants will develop their ability to constantly manage the right balance between People, Planet, and Profit. To bring, on the market, entrepreneurial projects pretending to have a significant impact on some of the 17 SDGs, participants will acquire:

• a deep understanding of the challenges that need to be addressed;
• relevant methodologies to analyze the ecosystems related to these challenges;
• a smart strategy to identify the most effective leverages to act in order to optimize the impact;
• the use of specific business models that fits the 3Ps approach.

To a large extent, they will also develop a different mindset from “usual” entrepreneurs, including a clear understanding of the purpose (the Why?) and the integration of a balanced consideration of stakeholders in the business model. As impact entrepreneurship requires very creative and interdisciplinary approaches, the program will recruit candidates from a wide variety of academic disciplines. The ambition is to recruit among those brightest candidates who have this burning desire to build a better world.

What is impact entrepreneurship?

Our societies are currently facing major changes and challenges. In that perspective, the United Nations has published the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that relies on 17 goals (SDGs) that require urgent action. Such an agenda requires innovations that matter! But to bring innovative ideas into reality, our societies badly need more entrepreneurs with mindsets, skills, and a sense of purpose to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Impact Entrepreneurship refers to the process favoring the creation and growth of enterprises that are ethical, transparent and have a meaningful impact on our lives and society.

Unlike non-profit, they focus on creating social impact through market strategies. Impact entrepreneurs focus on the triple-bottom-line: People-Planet-Profit, to achieve the appropriate balance between each dimension. The mission of this master is to contribute to the education of a new generation of impact entrepreneurs. Its ultimate vision is to contribute to the creation of an inclusive economy driven by equity values that give meaning to living together by creating human, ecological and economic value through an entrepreneurial approach.
